Props 'n' Hops a Great Success
Almost four hundred people came to the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada to savour products from twenty Manitoba breweries, listen to music from the HMCS Chippawa Band, and enjoy a performance by Manitoba legend Al Simmons, all while supporting scholarships for air cadets. The doors opened at 6:30 pm and the space under the wings of the museum's aircraft rapidly filled with supporters enjoying the ambience and tastes. Beers and ciders were supplemented with finger food

Manitoba Effective Speaking Competition Saturday 25 April
After months of training, Manitoba cadets who enrolled in the effective speaking program will demonstrate their newly attained skills by participating in the provincial effective speaking competition, on Saturday 25 April, from 9 am, at the Building 90 theatre, just outside the main gate at 17 Wing Winnipeg. Cadets, parents, and other guests are welcome to attend, to cheer on the competitors. Admission is free. The winner of the provincial competition will be Manitoba's repre

Props 'n' Hops 2026 Saturday 18 April

Hubbell Awards Application Deadline 1 April
The Hubbell application form was sent to all Cadet units in Manitoba in January. The application applies to all Manitoba Cadets who plan to continue their education at a post secondary institution in the coming year. Cadets should complete the application form as thoroughly as possible. Commanding Officers are requested to canvass their Cadets so that at least one nomination per unit is submitted. National Awards for ACL Volunteers
From the Air Cadet League of Canada: Volunteers at our squadrons, provincial/territorial and national levels are essential to the success of the Air Cadet League of Canada. Without the tireless giving of time, skills and financial resources by our volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, we would not be able to accomplish our mission. Manitoba Air Cadets Receive Scholarships
On Monday 16 December 2025, eight deserving Manitoba air cadets received scholarships from the Manitoba Air Cadet League, with values ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. IT IS TIME FOR CADETS TO APPLY FOR 2026 NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS! Please spread the word that it is time to apply for the Post-Secondary Scholarships presented by our League. December Fundraising Goal Achieved
We are thrilled to announce that our Double December fundraising target was reached. We raised over $10,000 in December thanks to many donors. This amount will be doubled by a very generous supporter of the league. The funds will go into our Engine Fund, which is used to pay for engine overhauls to keep our two Bellanca Scout tow aircraft flying, and helps keep Air Cadets in the air.
