Congratulations to all the Cadets that participated in this year's effective speaking competition held at 17 Wing Winnipeg April 19, 2025. While they're all winners and the competition was both close and spirited, three cadets finished on top:
WO1 Hailey Nagtalon from 573 RCACS receiving $300
FSgt Keizha Serrano from 170 RCACS receiving $200
WO2 Isabelle Ladroma from 177 RCACS receiving $100
The Canadian Aviation Historical Society, Manitoba Chapter, will host a presentation about the Berlin Airlift at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada and by Zoom. This event is free and open to everyone interested in Canadian aviation history. The registration link is here.
The Hubbell Awards are a set of scholarships available to cadets in Manitoba. Cadets must be in their final year of high school or attending a post secondary school in order to apply. The application deadline this year is 1 April 2025. These prestigious awards are presented annually at the Manitoba Legislative Building. Please circulate this information to any eligible cadets.
Last year, 2024 Hubbell Awards were presented to twelve Manitoba Cadets. These Cadets, three Sea Cadets, two Army Cadet and seven Air Cadets, were chosen from many highly qualified applicants.
